Defeated and Difficult..the sign in the road

When I first came to Tennessee years ago, I was looking for a quiet place to live. I got lost and found myself in front of a fork in the road where I met up with this sign. Neither way was very enticing. So I turned around and wound up settling in Pleasant Shade, which actually had a post office, just a few miles up the road from Defeated and Difficult.
